Employee Profile — Mobile Experience

The employee profile is one of the main places HR users go to view employee information, documents, and work-related details. On mobile, the real challenge is presenting dense HR information so it stays easy to scan without overwhelming the user.

My role was to design a mobile experience that organizes employee information clearly, supports quick access to key details, and keeps dense HR data readable on a small screen.

The project did not need fresh field research: the screen already existed and HR teams used it every day. So the method was an expert UX inspection — a heuristic evaluation of the existing screen against Nielsen’s ten heuristics, alongside Jisr’s own design system standards.

The core issue: the tasks were not built around the real user. The screen showed the employee’s full record, but its order did not start from what an HR administrator actually needs to get done when they open it mid-task. Someone opening the profile to check a single detail quickly met a block of data they had to sort through themselves.

The goal was to make the profile feel structured and easy to navigate on a smaller screen — especially for users who need to check employee details quickly during daily HR tasks.

I focused on grouping information into clear sections, making the most important details easy to find, keeping the layout clean and readable, and following a familiar mobile navigation pattern for HR and employee-related tasks.
